crowne plaza hotel
construction five star hotel
Near the airport and the Corporate Village office complex, a five star hotel was built by the InterContinental Hotels Group. It has 315 rooms, including 15 suites, 16 meeting rooms, a gym, a restaurant and cocktail lounge.
VK took care of the building services engineering of this high quality hotel, whereby comfort and safety came first. Thus, an important aspect was the acoustics of the site, given the airport is nearby. All rooms have triple windows, and a multipurpose hall was built as a box within a box. Thus, the hall is disconnected from the structure of the hotel. Together with other acoustic insulation techniques, a party in this hall will in no way hinder the other guests of the hotel. Guests also have access to (wireless) internet connections everywhere in the hotel, also in every room. The meeting rooms feature the latest audiovisual equipment.
All rooms are equipped with individual air conditioning, including the bathrooms. Meeting rooms are air conditioned with a variable air volume system. In addition, the rooms can be used in their entirety or split into modules. The lobby with atrium, bar, gym and restaurant also have their own air conditioning systems.
Other measures ensure the safety of staff and guests, such as the emergency lighting system, fire detection, sprinkler system, smoke extraction systems and burglar alarm. The facilities are also largely connected to an emergency power generator.
