This unique industrial building underwent a true metamorphosis. A garage was transformed into an office environment and printing press halls for IPM, the multimedia group responsible for circulating (among others) “La Dernière Heure” and “La Libre Belgique” newspapers. This demanded a number of radical structural changes, and posed significant challenges for the stability engineers at VK.

The architects integrated a mezzanine into the intermediate floor between the main floors with the monumental staircase. Additionally, 2 stories were added to part of the building, for office space and technical rooms. This required that the existing columns and foundations be reinforced.
