waterloo atrium
construction new office building
In the Green Belt around Brussels, in the historic town of Waterloo, Immo 167 has developed a refined office building. VK was responsible for the engineering.
The project consists of 2 main buildings which can be leased separately, connected by a vast atrium. Climate control in the offices is achieved using dynamic warming and cooling beams which are integrated in the lowered ceiling. The atrium was designed as a meeting place and conference area, and is warmed and cooled using an ‘air only’ system. The 2 underground parking levels are equipped with a ventilation system and mechanical ventilation.
A battery of 3 lifts ensures the mobility of the users on all the levels of the building.
