spanolux - phase II

new development of industrial site for production of parquet

In 2002 a joint venture was embarked upon with Balta-Industries, and a decision was made to increase output of the MDF range, through the addition of a finished product, specifically: veneer parquet. For this purpose three industrial halls had to be built, with a total surface area of approx 31.500m², with internal content consisting of: three impregnation lines, three pressing lines (for the covering of the MDF with paper sheeting), a sawing line and a tongue and groove line.

Once again, in this phase permanent follow-up procedures were necessary at the yard, considering the rather brief deadline date and the ‘last minute’ details from the suppliers of the industrial halls.

Work on the first foundations was started in October 2002. The test run of the first pressing line was implemented in July 2003.

Besides the production halls, an automatic high-stacking warehouse was built for the half-fabricated products and the end products, with a storage capacity of approx 16.000 m³.
