Rendac is a company that takes care of the collecting, processing and destruction of carcasses. With this, their final products (animal flower and fat) are used as sustainable alternatives for fossil fuels in the energy sector, the cement industry as well as their own company. As part of the continual updating and upgrading of the site at Denderleeuw, VK was appointed for the study, design and leadership of work related to the infrastructure of the company and the construction of the area around the new office building.

The work is comprised of the breaking up the existing hard surfaces, the recycling of the materials released from the foundation in relation to this and the realisation of new surfaces for the central courtyard of approx 10.000m² as well as the construction of the area surrounding the new office building measuring approx 6.000m². Specifics related to this assignment were the dimensioning of the road construction for the intense lorry traffic, as well as the general circulation of the lorry traffic to the different locations within the company.

A new Coda-building was constructed prior to the work. This building contains a section measuring approx 200m², designed for the destruction of contaminated animals and a section measuring approx 200m² as a social area for employees.
