The city of Charleroi will shortly dispose of a new police station, and a remarkable one at that. Jean Nouvel and MDW Architecture are responsible for the design of this DBFM-construction (Design Build Finance Maintain), the contract of which has been assigned to CFE. VK will take care of the structural engineering of this project, that partly consists of a striking new tower and partly of a renovation.

The project is part of an urbanistic programme, to revitalise the city. The tower will become a landmark in the urban fabric, housing the police services of Charleroi. The construction permit will be submitted in Octobre 2011, and the reception is to be expected in Novembre 2014.
