Today, the remedial centre Brother Ebergiste opens the new service center Zevenhuizen. This home for non-working mentally disabled adults, a project of VK STUDIO, has been conceived as a small residential community. Small scale, autonomy and openness are the key words.

The community consists of several interconnected houses and 2 studio's, that function autonomously. The dwellings interact with a long connecting corridor, that houses all communal functions.

The low volume and the splitting up of the community in various volumes result in a small-scale appearance.

The facades of the transversal dwellings are mainly clad in wood, whereas the communal functions have brick walls. The dwellings also have large windows, providing an optimal relation with the green surroundings.
