On its annual list of Green Good Design for environmentally-friendly projects, the Chicago Athenaeum has admitted the Renson-building. The main office of Renson along the E17-motorway, a collaboration between Crepain-Binst Architecture and VK ENGINEERING, remains a prominent project in the growing trend towards sustainability.

The Chicago Athenaeum is an international museum of architecture and design, mainly focused on the positive impact design/architecture can bring about in daily life. Every year, the museum honors a number of projects, organisations and people for their architectural/design-contribution to society. As such, the Chicago Athenaeum draws up severals lists, namely "American Architecture Awards", "Internationatal Architecture Awards", "Good Design" and "Green Good Design".

In this last category, Renson was admitted, proving again that this project (occupied in 2002) still occupies an important place in the global growing list of sustainable projects. Several energy-saving techniques were integrated in the Renson-project, such as night cooling and natural ventilation. Since then, VK has applied its knowhow and expertise with regard to sustainability in many projects, from hospitals and schools to public buildings and offices.
