VK Architects & Engineers is being reinforced with some twenty experts, as both EDV Engineering and STEDEC have joined our group.
STEDEC was founded in 1985 by engineer-architect Koenraad Coelus and acquired a solid reputation as a structural expert. STEDEC is an engineering firm, specialized in developing and calculating concrete or steel structures for buildings and artworks, and is one of West-Flanders’ most important firms. The ten new colleagues of STEDEC will in the first instance continue working in their current Roeselare office.
EDV Engineering, founded by Eddy De Vleeschouwer, is a consulting engineering firm with a fine portfolio in buildings and industrial facilities. It advises numerous developers in the buildings sector as an M&E engineer. With some ten employees, the firm specializes in the design and project supervision of technical building equipment, engineering, and assessments. The colleagues of EDV have meanwhile moved to the VK-offices in the Axxes Business Park in Merelbeke.
Both Koenraad Coelus and Eddy De Vleeschouwer guarantee a swift integration, maintaining the existing contacts with clients, coaching young engineers, as well as coordinating some large projects.
The engineers of VK, Stedec, and EDV will reinforce and complement each other as experts. In the long term, it moreover offers VK the needed capacity to support architects and developers as a consultant in large-scale projects, from a multidisciplinary point of view. We are convinced that we can learn much from each other’s approach, design methodology, and creativity! Which will evidently benefit our services to our client-architects, developers and (local) authorities.
